A quick insight into what I have been doing lately. I don't generally do much, but I think it could be more I don't take enough pictures when I do do things. I would love to have more proof of my activities. I love looking at photos. These are all in no particular order.

 I tried to make Jammie dodgers! My friend had to point out that they are actually round on the outside and just a heart on the inside but who cares when your just going to eat them anyway. I was happy with them. I think he was just jealous because he didn't get one.

I straightened my hair one day, and I felt this deserved a picture. I also had make up on which I don't usually.

This is a mens Nike t-shirt which I made into a vest top, admittedly it is still a little manly on the shoulder part but its only meant for at the gym or when I go for a run so I don't mind too much, I am happy with how it turned out anyway.

My best friend made me dinner bless him, he would not let me help and I must say it was truly amazing! :P very healthy aswell!!

This is how I spent my Easter Sunday! :P I never get Sundays off work, so I spent this one with my friend stuffing our faces with pizza and watching the hobbit part 2. Lovely!

I am slowly losing my motivation for going to the gym, so I bought this top to help me get going :P I love inspirational quotes. And I really want to reach my fitness goal. I have been slacking lately especially seeing as I have eaten lots of chocolate due to Easter and pizzas etc.

This was one evening after a very long shift I got home and I literally just did almost nothing.

I have gone a bit mad on shoes this month! I have bought 3 pairs! I originally said nope, I will not buy jellies I wont give in. But the 90s child in me could not resist. I lived in jellies as a child they were my favourite shoes.

These next two are the exact same shoes just different colours. One for work (Black) and one for general everyday wear.

I have to say I highly recommend Sketcher Go walks, If you are on your feet a lot they are amazing! Since wearing them I have not had achy feet even after 11 hour shifts where i'm on my feet constantly.

More selfies! who can resist a selfie?? especially when your all done up and in a good mood because your going out with a group of great friends :)

This was taken one evening I decided to put on my fairy lights, I don't know what it is but fairy lights always calm me after a long day.

Red lipstick

Thought i would try a bit of a daring colour :p my skin is extremely fair and thought that maybe it wouldnt suit but i dont think it looks too bad x

OOTD!! and a sewing update

I have decided to attempt to make a quilt :) this is it so far just have to sew a few more squares buy some wadding or whatever you call it haha and sew it together with edging :)

Outfit for today :) got a bit of 50s vibe today haha didnt do alot though sat around until i had to go to work this afternoon x

Race for Life 2013

So, on Sunday I did race for life, it really was a great day/morning. We joined in with the mini boot camp they had going on as we were getting cold and needed warming up :P

This first Picture was us before the race :) 

And this is us after the race with our medals, we ran most of the race, I did practically no training so struggled a little :P

But we did it in 33 minutes which I'm quite happy with :) I plan on beating that next year!!

Pink hair!!

I have pink hair!!!

This is not really the best picture in the world I will have to upload a better one when I can but was finally brave enough to dye all of my hair pink! :) I love it :) it is going to be so much effort to keep it like this though :( but I will do my best :P

Sewing!!

Hey, just a quick post to show a few things I have made recently, as I keep saying I want to make more things...and I actually have. :D

I decided I would TRY and make one thing every month so far its going alright i have a couple of alterations to do but they are wearable garments :)

JANUARY:

This is my first creation I haven't completely finished it, all I need to do is ad some bias to hem it.

FEBRUARY:

This is the second, I love the colour of this one I have already made this dress before (in green) but i have an elasticated waist on that one.

MARCH:

Here I tried something different for a change I made a peplum top :) I had this material laying around n didn't know what to do with it so thought I would try it for this pattern, and I love it! :) I think i'm going to make a dress in this material too :)

Coming soon...

Heya I have been a really really bad blogger lately and realised I haven't posted in over a month, but I have started a couple of projects and plan on starting some other stuff and so I will have some posts coming up very soon.

For starter I am in the process of making a dress from a patten I already have and altering it slightly I am not sure how it is going to turn out at the moment but I will put some pics up soon.

I also plan on starting a bit of embroidery, and making a cover for a folder or something like that :P

Lastly I am painting over an old canvas picture that my friend gave me because she didn't want it I loved it at first and then decided that actually it doesn't go as well as I thought it would with my room so I am painting over it and hoping maybe eventually when I get my craft room which should happen in the next year or so :P it can hang lovely in there.

I promise to post more very soon! :)

Winter warmers

Hello, So today I took a trip to George with my mum and spotted these beauts :P

I bought a pair of fleece lined tights last winter for work an they were so comfortable so when I saw these I had to have a pair :P

The purple ones are such a lovely colour and they feel nice and soft aswell I couldn't resist :P

I also decided today that I am going to go as close to my natural colour as I can not that it really matters because I leave my hair for months without dying it but at least I wont have to worry about roots.

Problem is I am pretty much guessing what my natural colour is because I have been dying my hair since I was about 16 so we will have to wait and see, it also depends if I like it, I will probably find myself going back to my live XL platinum blonde a couple of weeks after :P

Right this again is not the best outfit picture but its the closest I have to a full length :P

pretty simple outfit for this night as it was just down the pub

I paired this with my creepers which I should wear more often I forgot how much I love them :P

The shirt and vest top are from Primark and the skirt is from H&M

And that is one of my closest friends in the picture with me :P

21st birthday week night 1

Heya! I apologise for my lack of posting I haven't really kept up with taking pics of my outfits but here is a quick one on what I wore on Monday night.

I booked this week off so that I could go out with friends and not have to worry about having work the next day. 

I apologise in advance for the picture as I had had a few beverages before it :P

My dress is from Tkmaxx I have a black studded clutch bag which is from select and my wedges which you cant see in this picture are from Deicheman (not completely sure how it is spelt) :P

Painted Marilyn Monroe

So, just a quick update on my room upgrade :P

This is what I am most proud of. I made a paper stencil of Marilyn Monroe and cut it out and used a sponge to paint using black acrylic, I am so happy with how it came out I really thought I was going to mess it up and black is not an easy colour to paint over :P

But this is how it came out: 

This is my favourite part of my room at the moment. It isn't completely finished as I need frames put up holes filled in (which I should have done before painting) and a few bits need changing e.g a new black silk throw, I have seen the perfect one in primark but will have to hope it is still there on payday :P

Re-upholstery

 Heya!

So I have been really busy lately but I wanted to show you something I am quite proud of :) my friend built this Ottoman a while ago and decided she didn't have the room for it any more so I said I would have it as I have always wanted one but they always seem to be so expensive.

Anyway recently (as you may know from my previous post) I plan on redecorating my room (bit by bit) :P

I bought some black fake velvet fabric a little while ago and thought maybe I can make a dress or something. Then I thought actually I could use it to re-cover my Ottoman. 

So that is what I did :)

This is it before I pulled it all apart and re-upholstered it.

And this is it now :)

It will go better with my room when I get it all finished :P
